Cross-sections of the 5 bungee brands. Notice on the lower strength bungee bands on one brand has just as many ribbons as the extra strong bands. The low end bungee cords have a stronger tensile strength just because they are closer to .12 inches each but fewer cords. Shady companies put out bungee rebounders that have a great bounce at first but decline rapidly in elasticity once you start using it. Many people don't care about off gassing and want something that lasts longer. Remember, more ribbons are better only when comparing latex to latex, synthetic to synthetic, and diameter of ribbons. Basing your jump style and weight on these factors will get you the right tension to give the most lymphatic flush and resistance to optimize you rebounding session. Take my bungee quiz, it helps!
