So, I've figured out how to preserve my bungees and make them last about 4 times longer than having just one set on the rebounder. I put two bungee cords on each attachment so each cord only has to stretch half or less than it would normally. I don't get a deep of a bounce but the bounce is more firm and gives way more pop, especially if doing lymphatic bouncing.
Having really strong doubled up bands like this gives way more pop without the decelerating so much. Also, it allows for way less air time so their can be more lymph turns per session.
If someone is really heavy and wants a deeper bounce, then instead of getting the ultra strong bands and getting the medium strength bands and doubling up on those will exponentially give more life to the cords. Having 2 cords doesn't just split the stress of the G force in half, it does it nearly 4 times. So, if someone is used to changing cords every 6 months, then having 2 sets of cords should last 2 years, not 1 year. The cords should never overstretch.
Having really strong cords that allow lymphatic bouncing must be firm enough to give enough g force with barely leaving the mat. With the bungee, you have to jump a little higher than a spring but having dual cords on each attachment can give the most similar bounce to a spring rebounder.
Note: most bungee rebounder brands only come with one tension. With Jumpsport bungee rebounders you can adjust the bands just like the Mini swing Plus VARIO REBOUNDER.
By getting bands that are not adjustable means that the bands don't have to overstretch to compensate for heavier jumping. Remember, synthetic bungee bands will always be stronger and last longer than natural latex rubber cords but each have their pros and cons.
About 50% of the people buy the synthetics, 50% buy the natural type. If you want help picking out which rebounder I recommend based on your answers, take my bungee rebounder quiz.
